A castle = A large fortified building or set of buildings, usually from the Middle Ages, used as a residence for nobility or royalty and for defensive purposes.

A tower / A turret = A tall, narrow building or part of a building, often projecting from a castle, used for defense or as a lookout point.

A courtyard = An open space enclosed by walls or buildings, typically found in the center or inside the walls of a castle.

A drawbridge = A movable bridge at the entrance of a castle, which can be raised or lowered to allow or prevent passage over a moat.
